Farms of Tuolumne County Celebrates Family, Farms and Fall!
FOTC will sponsor its first Pumpkin & Zucchini Weigh-in on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Hurst Ranch! Don’t be left out! Plant your seeds this in early May.
Hurst Ranch will open at 10AM for you to bring in your pumpkin. Weigh-In begins at 10:30AM.
SEEDS for GIANT pumpkins have been purchased from Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Weigh-In ‘s Farmer John at a big discount. He has also provided instructions. Thank you, Farmer John!
Regular price for the seeds is $2.50 per seed but FOTC is selling them for only $2.00 for three seeds. Quantities are limited. One package/envelope per family on a first-come-first-serve bases. The envelope contains complete instructions.
BE AWARE: these seeds can produce HUGE pumpkins that will require extra care to even transport them to the event. If you are not ready to deal with that size of a pumpkin, you might want to focus on a smaller variety.
NOTE: It is not necessary to use these seeds. You can use whatever ones you like.
The Weigh-In will award three cash prizes for winning pumpkin and three for winning zucchini entries.
CASH PRIZES: Winning Pumpkins: 1st Prize $200, 2nd Prize $100, 3rd Prize $50.
